1989 240 hatch: stock seats and driving position

I'm still rockin' the stock seats in my '89 240 hatch and i can't seem to get a decent driving position no matter what i try. The seat back, even with the tilt locked all the way forward, is still waaaay too reclined. I can't square my shoulders against the seat back and still have my hands on the wheel in a decent position.

I don't see anything obviously broken on the seat mechanism, but it's hard to imagine anyone getting a good driving position with the seat the way it is in my car. Are all stock, early model 240 seats like this? Anybody have a fix other than dropping in a new seat?

Thanks,
K

^lol, dude, the back of the seat goes more than 90 degrees from the bottom. How is that not foreward enough?

I vouche for the G Tek Seat. Its an 89 stock seat with Side Mission Magic tuning done to it.
I sat in it, and I was amazed. I'm going to get mine tuned soon. Holla ST.

Mine won't lock anywhere near 90 degrees forward. I'll prolly do the seat mod this weekend and see how it goes before i rip these POS out.
