Hey there fellow SC enthusiasts I finally got my SC300 on the road after having it for a year & a half, it was automatic but I converted to stick. But now I've been driving it for a couple of days & I've noticed that the car is running at really high revs. It does 60 MPH at 4,000 RPM's I hope that's not normal it feels like it has a higher gear ratio like 4:10's or something it also feels like it needs another gear WTF, would this have to do anything with having 19" rims IDK please if you have any info please let me know I would really appreciate it.

if anything the bigger rims are gonna make the dash read differently that stock. my s14 has "4.08" i belive and i do 45mph in 5th at 2000

its not just the gauge that will read different, it will also change your gears and make your acceleration slower and top speed higher.

Maybe somehow you got a 4.3 in the rear of your car?
Also, what tranny?

r154 5th gear .753 w58 5th .783 and your car should of came with the 4.083 diff also the a340e (auto tranny) has an od gear of .705

The gears should be the factory automatic gears from a 92 & the tranny is the factory SC300 tranny which if I'm correct its the W58.

something is wrong...

with a 26 inch tall tire and a 4.083 rear end plus .783 w58 5th and 4000rpm i get a speed of 97mph.

Your tach is definitly off

at 2500 with 19s and those gear ratios you should be at 2500rpm
