ac making idle drop 1500 rpms?

i just hooked up my ac and whenever the compressor kicks on the idle drops from 2k to about 500 (i turned the idle up to prevent it from stalling)
and sometimes it stalls

i dont understand why it would drop so much
and i know that its kicking the idle up because with the compressor unhooked the idle goes up but when the compressor is hooked up it drops like crazy

any ideas
 
fix ur stall problem first

but it sounds like an electrical problem. ur ecu's not getting a signal that the ac compressor is on, so its not bumping up the idle to make up for the ac compressor coming on. check ur wiring

its only when the ac is on
the motor has never once stalled till i hooked up the ac

and when the compressor wasnt hooked up and i would jump the low pressure sensor it would bump up the idle

so what else could it be
 
yeah i got a ka with a enthalpy tune and when i got my ac on and come to a light sometime it will drop and stall or just drop real real bad so now when i come to light i turn the ac off

exactly what mines doing
and its putting such a strain on the motor when its really hot it overheats

but it only does this some times

yeah mine has never over heated and i just have a alum rad with altima fans and it never made my car hot just stalls it
i would really like to know what it is i hope somebody knows
 
well im pretty sure i have some boost leaks i havnt got around to finding them yet

but im hoping that has something to do with why its running weird
 
With the load on it from the a/c, it could make it the problem. Could idle fine with no load, but not with load.

It's supposed to open when the A/c is turned on. Yours is probabley not opening.......

what else could it be on my ka cause i have a new and cleaned icv so what else could cause this
im not worried about it cause i barly use my ac just wondering

i dont know if read this or not but your iac? is it in good working order? i think maybe you said your gonna clean it?

and have you ever seen taht fucking retard make a usefull post? i have him on block i didnt even know he posted till you guys quoted him
 
if its dropping and almost stalling when you come to a stop maybe you have a crack or something in your brake booster hose that goes from the brake booster to the intake manifold, they are known crack after 20years lol
