ACT Clutch

Hello!

I have a ACT Clutch with the pressure plate, it has a ACT 6 Puck clutch disk. I know that ACT makes a 4 Puck, IDK if ACT makes 3 puck but I know that Exedy makes a 3 puck.

My question is if I can use the Exedy 3 Puck on the ACT clutch with the pressure plate. It will be used on a KA24DE.

well if all clutch kits were designed within oem spec dimensions then it would work. try getting in touch with either exedy or act reps. hopefully someone knowledgeable can help you out. if not google is your best friend.
 
Talked to someone people and no one new for sure and too keep on asking around. I do research before I post up not like the other n00bs, probably didn't do the best search but I did it.
 
not a concrete answer but like hhn said as long as the dimensions are the same theres no reason why it wouldnt
 
IDK even know if they are should be because its for the same car.
 
exactly for the same car and flywheel size the pressure plate and clutch disc are all the same dimensions... too bad its an opinion and not a definite answer... try searching dimensions and compare if no one can give a definite answer
 
well using deductive reasoning i have determined that every clutch kit and flywheel are dimensionally compatible even across brands. if you think about it you can buy a clutch kit(clutch disc and pressure plate) and they dont explicitly require you to buy a matching flywheel implying that you could mate it to either a stock or an aftermarket flywheel. thus bolt patterns and both inner and outer diameters of the friction area must follow oe spec. but on the other hand i would surmise that clutch disc and pressure plate cannot be without the other, hence clutch kits. so conclusively i will stand by my words 99% that yes you can use an exedy plate with an act flywheel but with one caveat, that the exedy disc and pressure plate must be bought as a matching set.
 
Ill just buy a 4 puck. Thanks tho hhn, not really feeling to buy a new flywheels at the moment.
 
i didnt say you had to buy a new flywheel. sorry if i confused you i was kinda out of it when i wrote that. i believe your original question was if you could use an exedy clutch disc with the act pressure plate that you have already. my answer is it might work but its not guaranteed. the brands will need to be the same to be sure it works.
 
on a ka my friend guy has an nismo pressure plate,atc disc,fidanza flywheel

but do what you want

why dont you just use the atc disc if your so worried about it

? I'm not worried about it. 3 puck grabs harder than 4 pucks so I wanted a 3 puck, now seeing that I stated before that ACT does not make 3 puck only 4 puck is as low as it gets, I wanted to try it out. But I don't have time to try it out. With that said thanks again ill just get a 4 puck and when I can test it out i will.
