Sooo I'm here stressed the fuck out trying to finish a term paper which is already late and I got distracted enough to ask something I've though about for a while.
Anyone know of any adult education/community college welding classes offered in Miami or nearby?
I don't want to be a welder or make it my living, but I'd love to just learn the basics, like intro to welding or something. Just an adult education class for beginners I can take in the evenings and not get into advanced stuff. Welding/Fabbing is badass but its not a lifestyle for me.
I've searched but all I've found so far are trade schools or welding certificate programs etc...thats a bit beyond my scope since I'm almost done with my degree anyways.
I've started learning the basics by myself. Reading theory (95% is way over my head anyways lol), watching instructional dvds, and buying my own little mig welder to practice on. But one point that almost every "intro to welding" book or whatever make is that its a great idea to enroll in a class and have someone teach you. Not to mention you get all the materials to practice on and the equipment...
Any info would be appreciated since there's loads of people who weld here and also some damn good fabricators
now to get back to that damn paper
