will a 98 auto trans fit behind a 90 sohc???ive heard there is a sensor that is different. so you can run a 98 in a 90 but not a 90 in a 98
 
Idk about working on a sohc but I put a 96 auto on my 93 all I did was cut the harness of n put the tranny harness that came from my car n it works fine. But seeing how a dohc tranny bolts to a sohc motor the auto should fit with no problems.
 
Im going to say yes, according to topsecrets logic. a dohc manual tranny will work with a sohc ka. so ill assume the auto is the same shit.
