Well I put in the RB into my coupe and i used hockey pucks for motor mounts... I knew it would drop the motor down a bit but i didnt know it would be that much... Well the sway bar doesnt clear the oil pan and I wanted to know if I can run it just like that till i find out how to put it back on

i dont have one but i havent got to drive it yet, lol a lot of ppl that have rb's dont run sway bar

well i had it when i got the swap done the first time but i was using stock KA motor mounts... I had a feeling it wouldnt be a big deal but i wnted to see what yall thought about it

You can, how ever your car will dip from side to side. Since you used hockey pucks, and the engine is lower than what it is suppose to be, I would suggest refraining from drifting it(you might buttom out the engine itself).

lol ull be fine jon i know the rb is heavier but i ran without a swaybar for a long time get those drop down brackets or make some!!

How about u raise ur motor! If its sitn that low, u should be more worried about destroyn ur oil pan then anything. Rb's already have enough oil issues and dented up oil pan wont help it.

My friend was without a front sway bar for a long time. they aren't absolutely necessary. But the car will feel sloppier. There was a huge difference when he put the sway bar back on.

well the motor doesnt sit lower then the cross meamber so hitting the oil pan is not what im going crazy over, but ill see how it feels with out it... i was seen if i can drive with out having it on

i run a front sway bar with my rb...and yes, mine sits low enough with the mckinney mounts it has on it, im also getting my pan welded back up from destroying it for the 3 time, lol, but this time the pan is modded, and i advise you to put a skid plate too..just incase homie, have fun mang

when me and my friend did hockey pucks in his s13 we had the same problem but the headers were hitting the steering so the car wouldnt turn. Solution...we got a slab he had laying around was about 1/2 thick made out of aluminum and drilled 2 circles out of it (one for each side) and put it in between the two hockey pucks. Worked great and it was still as stiff as can be.! added a pretty cool look to it too lol

mayee you can buy 2 little rectangular pieces of metal (about the same thickness as the difference from the pucks to the ka mounts) , drill the 2 holes in them and mount the sway bars brackets to the car with the metal squares in between

removing your front sway bar will make a 240 lean like a top heavy dump truck on the high banks of talledga.......it a dumb idea make a spacer for the sway bar mounts or get ka motor mounts.a 240 handles like ass to begin with remove the sway bars and itll be even worse

I used to be able to make my dad's F150 rock from side to side like CRAZY, like make people think we're gonna flip over crazy. Then i did an oil change on it and noticed the front sway bar bushings were all the way gone. Put new ones in and it drives way nicer.

damn, you make it sound hopeless for him.

i know alot of people run either no front sway or no front strut for oversteer. haven't done it myself but im sure it will work fine if you get used to it.
