Josh
Driver
When: Sept 4
Time: 7pm-Midnight (get there early for Tech)
Who: YOU!
Cost: 10 bucks to enter, 25 to drive (i.e. spectators are 10 bucks, drivers are 35)
What you get: This isnt a 'skid pad' event. We will be utilizing the back section of the road course (the horse shoe/hair pin) and a part of the back skid pad. There will be a layout of sorts setup, not to the extent of one which you have to turn here or there but, it will not be a 'free for all/open to do donuts for 2 min'. In addition to drifting your entry fee will also pay for drag racing so, if you wish to hope back and forth between the two you may do so (drag racers do not have the luxury to drift).
I have requested and aerial image of the section we will be using from the track and one will be provides shortly. I have walked the section that we will be driving and I believe it will work out quite well and satisfy everyones 'appetite'.
p.s. Keep in mind that there will be 1-2 drifting events a month at CFRC that will be coinciding on Friday nights with the drag races. There will also be an every other month event on the huge skid pad. In it's current state [the large back strech/skid pad] of fresh asphalt the track is going to put off any large scale events until after the new year. For the time being though, the 1-2 events per month should be sufficient for everyone.
If you have any questions, please ask or, directly contact the track.
