Clutch sometimes stays down half way

Some times when I drive my car (this happens randomly) my clutch will stay down about half way and I have to pull it back up with my foot. the engagement point will also be really close to the floor. The clutch doesn't slip so I assume I just need to bleed it? If this is the case I'll just bleed it this weekend but I want to be sure this is the problem.

As always any replies are appreciated :bigthumbu

Have someone look at the slave while you push the clutch to see if all is working properly, if it is---just bleed it. You'll know when you really need the clutch, lol..

+1. also assuming you have a 240, get rid of the dampening block if you have it. the valving inside tends to go bad.

prolly need to replace slave... if it just 'started to happen one day' its going out. its not much and its not hard to do.

I guess I'll bleed it and if that doesn't solve it I'll have to start replacing stuff huh...

And it only happens sometimes. It didn't do it the whole day today. But last week it did it once, I pulled up the pedal, and didnt do it again the rest of the day. It's pretty weird.

This happened to me on the way to the beach, and on the way back i ended driving with no clutch my problem was the slave cylinder was leaking.

more than likely the slave cylinder. there about like 20 bux at advance auto parts. i had the same thing happen on my car when i first bought it
