Coilover Disassemble

does anyone know how to take out/off the damper/shock from the coilover body??

is there a special tool?

for jic coilovers, because I need to replace the dampers, but I have to take them out to send them to jic.

on mine, the actual shock body is threaded. so you just pull all the collars, springs, and unbolt the top part. but that's stance

u might be able to get it with a pipe wrench but the correct tool is a pin spanner wrench like this

from the looks of that picture u posted........ i can tell u that the part is one piece the replacement comes back jus like that its as green machine said previously
