compressor surge

i am running a hks ssq bov and under low boost (0-10 lbs) it works perfect but i start to hear some surge on higher boost(11-18 lbs) is this normal for ssq bov. i am goint to run some larger vac line to it and see if that helps but i am thinking abought going to a different brand.
 
synapse bov ftw. the hks ssqv is infamous for this problem. it works fine on lower boost levels but when you start achieving higher boost levels and start producing more power, it will eventually surge.
 
i was told by another person abought the vac line and i am still going to try it but i am thinking abought going to another valve. with the little research i have done it looks like the tial is the way to go. it seems like there is alot of negative feedback on the hks,greddy,and synapse but i cant seem to find many complaints on tial. basically i dont care how the bov sounds i lust want it to do its job correctly.
 
ive daily'd a synapse bov for almost 2 years now. not a single problem
