i have a sr in a s13 it runs at normal operating temp but when i turn it off it sometimes starts bubbling out if the resivior idk y it does it the only thing i can think of is there is a hot spot in the motor that is bobbling the water and it is coming out of the resivior

well you need to varify that your gauge is accurate first. if it is boiling premature then you might need to change your radiator cap.

it dosent boil when its running only when i tern it off and the temp is 190 ish

ps cap is new its a 1.1 bars

temps usally rise when the car is turned off because the coolant is no longer running through the motor. but if you turn it off at 190 the temp should not rise high enough for it to boil over. what is your cooling setup?

make sure theres no air bubbles in the rad ...its used to happen to my last sr with a koyo and its cuz i didnt get all the air out when flushing the rad

i made sure there is no air bubbles in it i had it running for like 20 mins with with the cap off no bubbles idk what it could be

that sounds dangerous :pp...reflush it and do it again...if that still doesnt solve it then look into your thermostat

i had that problem with my eclipse and it was the head :( hopefully it wont be in yours

it was doing it while it was running and i changed the head gaskit and got the head shaved. it stoped but now it dose it when i tern it off
