Drifting at Homestead

Well, bc Nopi is this coming weekend, and i have not driven the drift viper since early december, we figured it was time for some seat time, so I decided to rent some space at homestead so do some practice, anywho, we went down there and it turned out to be a track that i used to drive shifter karts on and was familiar with! w00t so i layed out a fun course with a great spot to build entry speed and make a wide entry sweeper in to some manji stuff and into a decreased raidius turn and back down for some wide right to left sweepers(technical and fun!) It was expensive (keep in mind, my dad helped me in the begining, but now im footin the bill from what vh1 pays me..not alot), so the shits expensive to me, but in order to be competitive i need the practice, so i pay...out the nose!

anyways, i got to thinkin that this would be a great space to hold an event, and would love to organize one for the locals to come and drift this badass course, the situation is, its $2500 a day from 9 to 5, so im talking to my sponsors to see if theyd help out to get this going and there would have to be an entry fee, but if everyone is in and down for it, i'll get this organized and try to make it work!

hmmm one week and your already doing more than half the people who have been here for years...
 
and i think it would be great to hang out and drift with yall

seriously i can think of at least 30 people willing to pay good money to get on that track. shit split it 25 ways and that shit is definately possible. i;m in. bet dat.

plus the infield is the sweet butta jam. its prolly the same way it was at drift showoff and that was the shit.

i need to find out what the restrictions are such as, cages, helmets, suits

i THINK what everyone would need is just a helmet but i cant be sure, i'll find out tomorrow

can we start a list of whos in? so i can start organizing this
 
i dont care what i gotta do to get my car ready but i am deff down... anythng i can do to help let me know
 
im down like ......... like........ o screw it im in 100%. lets get this thing rolling asap , just got my new gt35r and i want test that mofo out! and if you are serious, and end up needing help then just ask .

considering that this is not a huge major event it will probably be down to just basic common sense...

but heres a good list to start off with.

As usual there will be vehicle, helmet and driver inspection.
Check all of following:
1. __Fluids Leaking
2. __Tires and Lug nuts
3. __Front-end & Steering
4. __Rear end
5. __Exhaust hanging
6. __Bumpers secure
7. __Seat belts
8. __Helmets
9. __Clean Trunk & Interior
10. __Battery secure
11. __Air Filter
12. __Loose components under Hood
13. __Doors operation
14. __Hood & Trunk Latches

Rules and Regulations
Please read carefully:
1. Make your car as safe as possible.
2. Batteries and air filter systems must be secured.
3. No excessive fluid leaks, oil, water, etc.
4. Tires must have good tread.
5. All interior and trunk areas cleared of items. (Tires, jacks, tools, etc.)
6. All lugs and lug nuts must be on and tighten properly.
7. Seat belts must be worn at all times while on track.
8. A racing helmet must be worn at all times while on track.
Track officials have the right to deny some types of helmets from being used for safety purposes.
9. Both hands must remain inside car while on track.
10. Driver window must be closed while on track.
11. Follow, only, the course that you have been shown. Do not deviate from the course unless instructed to by a track official.
12. If you spin out, drive car back on course. NO SMOKEY BURNOUTS or DONUTS are needed. Doing this will only take away from your performance.
13. No POWER BRAKING, DONUTS, BURNOUTS, or DRIFTING in undesignated areas. (Parking lot, staging area, etc.
