Engine and Radiator flush

i am currently replacing my cooling system. being that i have had the valve cover off for a few days, i have been told to do an engine flush. now i have read through other forums and a lot of them say to not do a engine flush or any kind of flush. what should i do?

you dont have to worry about doing an engine flush in my opinion.

i wouldn't do it because when i did it, it ate away my headgasket.

forget about it!

coolant flush is as easy as it comes. but unless your coolant smells bad or is dirty i would not worry about it.. (unless you are putting a better coolant )
