This will be our final road course of the year. The term "road course" usually comfuses people so I will pay it out for you. We do not have a race track in the florida keys. When I say road course, I actually mean ROAD COURSE We use an off key state road, and beat it down like it owed us child support. Do not confuse this with Bay Bottom Crawl as it is not a looped road. The course starts at one end of the road, navigate your way through the marked gates, bust a 180 at the end of the road, and blast down the course again. The road is very fast, 3rd-4th gear in between gates. The 90 deg turns you see on the map are very high 2nd/ mid 3rd if you have the cajones. minimum 4 runs with a 5th run offered depending on attendance.
I do have a few things to point out for this event. Again do not confuse this with Bay Bottom. BBC is a closed course with no other traffic other than the ones attending the event. Middle Torch is a public road that is used by regular traffic. We have an average of 2-5 cars that need to pass through out course. During this time, all runs are shut down and we allow traffic through. When they are clear, we start running again. We WILL have a Deputy Sheriff on the road enforcing any and all road laws to and from the event. The layed out course is open season, but once you are out of bounds he will not hesitate to pick you off for speeding. Please obey all the rules, and save the racing for the course.
I look forward to seeing you all down here with us.
