alright im in desperate need for help my car is accelerating on its own! it will idle at 1900rpms and flop down to 500rpms and then back up it wasnt a constant thing till lately it got to were id start the car and instantly the car would do that .also the clutch would grind in reverse, and when i take off at red lights im blowing white smoke that doesnt smell much like gas any suggestions?
 
I'm going with combustion leak and blown head gasket. White smoke = burning anti-freeze into the cylinders. Someone correct me if am wrong.
 
Your idle is surging? Or does the car accelerate on its own when your in gear....
Check...Vacuum hoses

You kinda have to give us more info... :bigthumbu

I'd say head gasket also for the smoking...Hold your hand up to your exhaust, If it feels like steam is soaking your hand then it's your head gasket...Check if you have bubbles rising from your reservoir tank, thats another indicator to a blown hg.
 
my idle surges but after having the car on for awhile (like when it starts to warm up) FUCK!!!!!!!!!! its the damn head gasket 6 hour take apart here i come
 
sell the car, buy a new car! problem fixed!! that will cost $10 thank you!!!(smart as)
 
well turns out douche bag at advance auto parts gave me the wrong mother fucking spark plugs .... did new ngk's today and......fucking pwnage i fixed the head gasket...lol (i got ur 10$ right here between my legs come n get it) lol j/k thanks ne ways guys
 
i miss my car!!!!!!! but what was wrong with the head gasket???? did you ever fix the oil leak? if its still surging check the wiring for the maf... i ghetto rigged it so that might be your problem.... oil used to leak into the spark plugs... so that might be the reason your smoking.... but if you wanna sell the car back to me im all for it! i got a neighbor who would love to help me rebuild it.... im kicking myself for selling it now....

+1 Head gasket my friend. Happened to me last year.

if its not the maf wiring then its the tps sensor definetly!
