help! electrical q??

95 s14... drove it all day yesterday, try to leave today, and the car starts, then dies. keeps doing this. not the battery sinc eit IS starting. alternator maybe? since its just cutting off? it will cut off but the radio etc will stay on... any help would be greatly appreciated, as im stranded right now
 
i have a quarter tank+ . unless the floater is fucking up on me, but i SHOULD have that much in it, considering when i filled it up
 
definately not the alternator. will it take any revs before it stalls ? check engine lite lit? sound like a short of some kind. check the computer area for water. Check maf connector maybe water got in there.
 
um well it looks like it WAS the fuel. or lack of. i drove my dads car with a gas can and put a gallon in there and it started . at least it was something little like that. thanks guys
