help with tranny

im installing a clutch on my buddys 90 f250 and the tranny came out fine but when we went to install it it just wont slide on... i checked the splines on the clutch disk and everything lines up fine. we even took the transfer case off to make it easier to handle nothing is working.. i really wanna fiz this damn truck so we can do my ka swap in my car any input will be much appriciated..oh and also its an internal slave if that helps :bigthumbu
 
Have you taken a tranny off before?

They dont exactly slide back on. Takes a lil bit of husslin to get er goin.
 
put it in gear get the shaft lined up with the clutch and spin the tail shaft till it clicks then wiggle it on. f150 manual tranny is a bitch and a half to get back on. It takes time and patience. I did it once and it took me about 30 attempts to get it back on. but i was doing it solo.
 
yes i used the allignment tool.... no this is not my first .. im at attempt like 15 no lie . i tried to spin tail shaft with the drive shaft in and it wont budge so i went to turning over the motor i wish one of ya'll were close this thing is a real son of a bitch
