is the RB25DET really worth it????

ok heres the deal i got enough money for this swap(rb25det), ive already done a ka-t, sr20, and a CA18 swap and i was thinkin what the hell y not complete the nissan set right but i was wondering if its really worth all the time and money or if i should just do another CA swap but then the ca's are only like 400 less than the sr so i was like y dont i get a sr then, LOL i dont know what to do all i know is i need to choose a motor.....any one have any outher sugeestions on another motor or on the rb swap any info will b appreciated thanks :bigthumbu
 
LOL well not really i just need the ca it will provide me with all the HP i need no more no less and i lov that freakin motor i guess im just likin the wow factor from people who are amazed by it lol....i want the ca but i cant find one for 1300 like they use to go for i only find 1500 and 1600 witch is a few hundred away from a sr and the sr has alot more after market support......i need guidence

if you want the inline-6 deal just get an rb20.... if you dont like it sell it.... you dont seem to have trouble with that.

I see no point in getting something excessive unless you're looking to fully benefit from it.

well i would love to have it i just want some feedback from peopl who may have expirienced the motor to lmk if its really worth all that time and money i mean i dont mind Lots of HP but how much could i make out of it in stock from and is it worth doing? i mean because i wanna slide my car and i was wondering is this even a god swap for events and what not ??

seems like alot of work and money but i would love to do it im just not looking for that much sowntime
 
what son??? i just sold my built sr togo rb26 so trust me i can def. handle the big boy status!! either go big or go home!!
 
rb25 def waste of time btw....nevermind rb20's...:(............i think its a nissan thing....just go sr s13 blacktop...and thats it

Don't listen to BIMMER BOY never ever get a RB 20.

IMO The only good RB is a 26.
 
I'll tell you the same thing I told my friend Nick when he decided to get the RB25 in his Kouki S14...

"I wouldn't do it cuz what if one little thing breaks on it? its gonna be a bitch to find that piece and it'll be a lot more money than something for an SR"

His tranny blew about a month or so later and it took him a few months to find another one....they usually go for $1,200 on eBay last I checked.

Parts are cheaper and there are much more available for the SR20 (I dunno about CA though)
 
well thanks you ll for all your good imput and i agree with zak i only really like the rb26 but thats way out of my price range so i guess the next best thing is to get a s14 Sr20 and start from there thanks guys im going motor shopping friday to see what Store gives me the best price heres the list of places im going please stop me if the shop has a shady past or lmk of any places i missed
