So i've been reading around and i can't seem to find a manual steering rack for an S13. does anyone make them or to make manual steering do people just take the pump off and call it a day?

all you do is remove the pump and lines and then loop the high pressure and low pressure lines together

That's fine but like slambar said, it really isn't like a manual rack. Not nearly as responsive and a manual rack is actually lighter to turn compared to a PS rack without a pump.

Yeah you have to take the PS rack apart, remove seals, drill some holes and shit. Basically you take everything out of it that makes it a power rack. Then lube it up and put it back together. Then it's a legit manual rack. I know for a fact there is a write-up with pics on rx7club for FC racks, but I'm not sure how many people do it with 240s. The reason people do it with FCs is because power racks have a quicker ratio than the manual racks do, so by de-powering a power rack, they now have a quick ratio manual rack.

^^ Yea it is the gearing. Manual racks have gearing made for a person to help turn, Power has gearing made for a pump to help turn. Less turns on the power means harder to turn by hand without assist.
