I usually keep to myself about my ambitions and goals, because, frankly, not everyone cares, but for the sake of participating in the forums, I thought I'd post as well as ask about dream car(s). I love my car dearly, and I don't even plan to sell it (can't bear the thought), but as soon as money allows for it, I'd like a second more purpose-built car. I've long debated between a trucked turbo / supercharged Previa, a rally-inspired Ford Escort converted to AWD with a 200 hp Mazda BPturbo motor, or another 3sgte FWD Corolla (AE92 / AE101). However, after going to the roots of all that is racing, I believe I've found the epitome of what I'd enjoy driving --- it's fast, it's elegant, and it would sure be one hell of an all-around race vehicle. I present my dream car:
The 1975-1989 Porsche 935. It utilizes the Porsche 930S body, but the racing variants were designated as 935's. That last one is the exact same car on the cover of an antiquated book I have called "How To Make Your Car Handle" given to me by an old friend. You can tell how old it is by the major fashion no-no's apparent in that photo, lol -- but I found a company that sells the official Kremer 935 racing kit shown in the photo, and at some point in my life I hope to find an old 930S and transform it into a personalized 935 performance car. I have a good place to check around for this old-school car, and if I can find one for a reasonable price; I may have just found my ultimate drift project.
