At the same time the sentencing from a previous offense came through, consisting of a two-year driver's license suspension and a pretty hefty fine. Upon hearing this, the D1 Corporation instantly banned him indefinitely from competing in D1 Grand Prix and D1 Street Legal. Today, some of the D1 Corporation people headed over to the D-Max stand where his cars are on display and removed his name from both, along with the D1 windscreen banners." - SpeedHunters

D1GP is like what SFLDrifters would be if it was a Drifting League.

That's what he gets! I'm sure he had a legal obligation binded with D1 and he went against that! Street drifting is illegal anywhere you go. Laws are laws and if you don't obide by them that's on you to pay for your crime. Plain and simple.
 
^I agree to an extent. But I mean its not like he got arrested for beating up some hooker while he was trashed or anything like that. He got arrested practicing his sport on the street... Even if the govt took away his liscense they [D1] should let him drift still, but they gay as fuh so it wont happen.
 
Yea but jay.... Getting arrested is just that! Getting arrested and I'm sure D1 as a company doesn't want bad publicity. Therefor they had to do what they had to do.
 
setting a good example is part of the game if you turn professional. but does this story matter? D1 is pretty much in the shitter anyways right?

Had no idea he drove that either. I thought he just ate a bunch of beans, put those pants on, and drove like a boss.
 
I don't think they should've banned him maybe just like a suspension or something like that. I mean I understand a arrest is kind of a big issue depending on the case. In this case its not really of a big deal cause its not like he killed someone while drifting or hurt someone. He was just practicing and got caught. Idk just my 2cents

or what about the guy who robs the store with a gun, i mean, he didnt shoot anyone, he just took the money.

same logic right?


how about he represents a BRAND name in professional drifitng. the D1 name. If michael jordan went on a spree and raped 5 women, i guarantee Hanes would not shoot a commercial with a "Comfort Rape Tshirt". They would cut ties with him.
 
When you're driving a legit series and you're such a great driver, there are many venues open for you to practice at. He was just out having fun being a dickhead.
 
That makes him so much funnier/awesome. Dude drives in a professional series, but street drifts that Burst car in the middle of the night all the time.

Some of you dudes are crazy. He wasn't raping or robbing anyone. He wasn't street drifting through a school zone, or a turn paved with babies and kittens. Skate companies don't fire their skaters when they get busted street skating.
 
street skating is not going to result in any bystander getting killed.

yea my examples are extreme but the point is illegal = illegal. its part of the territory and D1 is in charge of its image.
