no start

please help, s13 just finished a de swap and it wont start, i have spark, injector pulse, fuel sprays, it cranks all day long but wont start. it came from a running car. any ideas or info would be greatly appreciated
 
ok well something is fucked up. how do you know if you have fuel spray in all the cylinders? how do you know you have spark in all the cylinders? just asking cause it has to be one or the other if its cranking over and you didnt mess with the dizzy.

maybe ur fuel lines are backwards
its a very common problem alot of people do that.
 
i took off the fuel rail and cranked with everything plugged in and every injector sprays, every cylinder is receiving spark
 
yeah if everything else is good ^ thats prob your best bet. change them and try using some starter fluid if it starts with starter fiuld then you might have a fuel problem.
 
you didn't mess with the distributor?? because if it was removed and reinstalled it could be 180'd out, other than that I really can't think of anything if the injectors are spraying and the spark plugs are good.

i just changed the new ones from the sohc and used starter fluid and still no start

this happen to a friend of mine that just swapped his motor ...we changed the hoses and it started check that out

its set correctly im positive...

2 questions, are all the injectors supposed to recieve the same pulse and fire at the same time? i dont think so but they are, and if the maf is bad what will it stop working? will it stop specifically spark or fuel or anything?
 
The injectors are supposed to fire sequentially not all at the same time, if your MAF was bad it wouldnt affect starting....
 
the car will run without the maf but only rev till 2 something it will be in safe mode. i would pull your plugs and check them to make sure there not fouled this same thing happened to me and i narrowed it down to a fried ecu, it just puts to much fuel into each cylinder.
 
^^^^Hes right^^^^If all injectors are firing at the same time it is probably be a fried ecu!

see if you can get an ecu from someone and plug it up......

i have a sohc and my freinf have a dohc and both turn off when the maf is unplugged, do u know what that means?

My starts up perfectly fine without the MAF plugged in, it just wont rev past 2k, however it will idle just fine.....mines a dohc, i dunno about sohc
