Oil Light problem**

recently started doing this. every time i turn on my car after its been sitting for more than an hour or so the oil light will stay on for like 5-8 seconds... but if ive been driving it and only had it off for about 10-20 mins it wont do this.. i recently did an oil change thinking it couldve been that. and new oil filter... could it be the oil pump? lmk
 
while were on the topic for oil lights, if the oil sensor is disconnected should the dummy light on the dash be on or off? cuz its not getting any signal of oil pressure from the sensor?

its like TJ said about my car when i bought it from him, "think of it as your hattori hanzo...you got pure evil in your hands you just gotta learn how to swing it..." well u now have a piece of that pure evil and it doesnt like it....

maybe you ran something over n dented your oil pan or maybe your oil is to thin... or maybe you have a cracked sump thos are your only options oil pumps pump at 1 volume no check valves or anything like that...
