On a S -13 do I need to press the ball joints out

I have searched everywhere. I want to change them . They are shoot to hell.

i have an air hammer. i've never pushed them out with this one but if you want to try call me up.

Thanks Josh , but I found an easier sulition. Buy new control arms with them already installed for 119.00

never mind I changed my mind again. I am just gonna get the ball joints from the shop and try to do it my self. Josh I will call you when they come in. Once I get them install I am gonna put my tein tension rods in also and then drop in the engine.

i pushed them out with a press.
i got this piece of pipe that fit under the arm and then a big nut on top of the joint then i pressed it out.

its scary but it pops out like a Gunshot lol

i Banged at it with my superhuman lol strength and i had no Succes......

go press them out.

I used a BFH to get mine out. Im sure a press or air hammer would work too!

Just don't get one those BS little kits from pep-boys or where ever, they break and will also destroy the top of the ball joint bolt.
