so the fd is getting painted finally. doing it myself and it's turned out wonderful so far, almost to the clear coat.

my question is

there is a small spot between the door in the fender near the bottom of the car on both sides, that keeps wrinkling when it dries and cracks and i wont allow that this paint job will be clean.

i've talked to a few people, and they said reducer is getting behind it because its wet and causing the paint to wrinkle, so i wetsanded it down flat, and dusted it lightly coat after coat after coat barely spraying to make sure not too much got on there, and its still cracking and wrinkling and i'm tugging my hair out because i cant keep my car out of commision much longer, and this is the only thing from holding me back because there's only about 3 hours of labor left on the car.

so any of you paint guys know what to do?

remove the paint to bare metal, wipe down with rubbing alcohol, let dry, wipe with tack cloth, prime it, and repaint. I know thats not what you want to here but thats what its going to take. My bro and I have our own paint shop and ive been doing this for years. It happen sometimes when you rush it but you definitly got too much reducer. hope this helps -SAS
