PCV valve blocked

when i was rebuilding my engine a few months ago, i was looking up emissions removal and all that good stuff and decided to block off my pcv valve, stupid or not i did it. now the hose from the valve cover to the intake has oil in it and i seem to be losing oil although im not blowing any type of smoke... is the oil caused by the blocked off pcv valve? should i just vent it? completely replace it?

well the metal tube was rusted and had small leaks so i had to ditch the metal pipe for sure, i decided to not replace the whole thing...stupid i see... just vent it to the atmosphere? filter it?

thanks for the link but that part is done, i just wasnt sure if i should vent the valve on the block to the atmosphere or filter it, i guess it doesnt matter, and filter the valve cover

it doesnt matter, either vent to atm. or get a catch can. either way you can not block it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is what u talking bout right

i dont know about sohc but in the dohc ka's the pcv valve is under the intake manifold agaisnt the block. the vent on the valvecover however is basicaly the same thing without the check valve because it's tapped into the intake not the intake manifold like the pcv.

yea everyone, i was reading a faq on nico club or zilvia, i forget which one, and some people said they blocked the pcv valve, others said they wouldnt recommend it... ronch thats the top, its pretty much the same on the sohc and dohc, but the valve is under the intake manifold on the block that filters back to the intake... im going to either filter or vent the valve to the atm. and just filter the top from the cover
