Pop up problem?

ok so i know its a common problem for pop ups on 240s to stay up/down, but recently my lights stayed up, and wont go down.....

earlier today i pushed em down just to have em down cuz the car is parked most of the time.....but i reconnected the battery and they went right back up, my QUESTION is, does that point me in a direction on what the problem is?does that mean i have a bad switch or relay?im new to electrical, any help would b appreciated!!!


and no i didnt give my car the blue pill!:laugh:
 
on the battery cable end there is a red connector. make sure its secured, if it gets loose it tends to give u problems with ur lights turning on or your popups going up and down. If not maybe your headlight motors are going out.
 
alright ill check that out, i dnt think its the motors cuz they went up fine just when i push the button they wont go down...... any other info would also be great! for me nd others with this prob.
 
its more than likely the headlight switch on the steering column, mine had the same problem, they would go up but not down, i changed the switch(thanks u damain) and they go up and down perfect
 
yea thats what im gunna try next.....cuz the wire thing only solved them going up when ever i connected the bat.

but now they will go up but not down so ill get a new switch...hopefully that will b the end of this! :D
