i was wondering if anyone has ever relocated there maf sensor. i read an seen a few car that have the maf sensor relocated onto the intercooler piping by the tb.

the purpose of do this is to eliminate the need for it being in front of the turbo intake an be less restrictive.

if anyone has any input on this subject lmk. i already searched this forum an google an not many useful info.

thanks in advance

well i just found out its called a "blow through"

do you have to cut the flat part off the z32 maf? im guessing thats what u do.

and some ppl say itll need to be retuned? is this true

ahhhhhhhh.

yeah but i was reading on a few other forums an they say to try an have one made out of metal cause the regular one is plastic.
an some other ppl shave off the flat part to just put a coupler on it.

geeeeeeeez!

Your maf isn't designed to cope with those conditions so expect issues and your maf isn't doing much to restrict your turbo. I wouldn't do it.

yeah thats what i was thinking to, i dont know how well it would do under pressure.
but on zilvia an other forums ppl have said they running theres as a blow through without any problems, i found on ebay they have the adapter piece to hook up to the ic piping made from aluminum for about 30 bucks.

im still contemplating weather i should do this or not.

i like the fact that it give the engine bay a much cleaner look not having the maf in the way. an that way i can run the turbo intake with a 4inch intake pipe see as though now i have to use a reducer to make the maf fit in.

so i just wanted to see how many people on here are using blow through an if the have any pro an con statements about it.

lets be honest here ur maf isnt restricting anything ur reading on internet forums. if i posted shiting on my gf got me off and if there was other people that agreed with me would u go and try it?

Ok first off I metioned why I wanted to do this. Its not cuz other ppl are doing it. Cuz I'm sure even u go on forums an see somthing an want it also. So yeah.
I'm saying that some others say there's a benefit to doing a blow through system compared to the stock suck through. An I'm askin to see what others have to say.
Cuz like I said I'm sure u go on an read "hey I got a new muffler an got hp" an u fall off ur computer dest rushing out the door to buy ur own little muffler too. So stop complaining.

I'm just asking for info. Hence the point of a forum, ppl come on to read an learn.

So if some one can help me out an just give me some info or some personal experiance with using this it would be appreciated.

ppl jump on other ppl for asking something i was reading it to learn if it was any good but everyboddy jumped on it and gave u shit about it. i wanted to do it cuz it makes it look cleen but idk shit about it so good luck maybe some one that ant a dick will help u

yeah it does help making everything look better, but cuz i using a topmount an the turbo has a 4inch inlet i wanted to try an see if there was a way of moving the maf out of the way without going standalone an using a map sensor.

im sure someone on here is probably running a blow through, i just wanna hear what they have to say about it.

i just read today that some one did a dyno test on it a it was a 20hp gain doing the blow through idk how that happend but any kinda gain is moving foward.

dyno #'s are to be taken with a grain of salt....

and on the blow thru setup... imho the only real advantage is when popping a coupling the car will still drive and not fall right on it's face.
