ok i bought rims size 18 with 225 40 on . and when i but them on they rub against me coilovers . so what do i do ? get a smaller size tire or what size spacer can i get without changing the lug bolts because i dont see much space for the nuts . i have an s13 with five lug and droped on cuscos if that helps
 
Chances are you are going to need spacers. I suggest buying proper fitting wheels, but If you're on a budget, they sell spacers with extended studs on them.
 
offset???

the width shouldnt be a problem i have 9.5 on stock body with no rubbing.....depends on your offset and how big the tire is

i didnt wanna raise it but that would be my last choice .i dont know the offset. lol ok guys i just got them cheap so i dont care and 20s on a versa lmao get out thats not right . rx7 i would put any thing on that baby
 
you can get some spacers that have studs built in, my car has 25mm studded all the way around. otherwise, depending on your wheels anywhere from 5 to 7 maybe 8mm spacers will work with the stock studs but dont be surprised if some sheer off from time to time
 
how much room is there between your tire and your outside fender? sounds like you need bolt on spacers or extended lugs and spacers.

raising the car is a sin, esp. if it is to accommodate high offset wheels. double sin.
