i dropped my car of yesterday around 1pm got a phone call today the old motor is out and new one is in! hows that for service! to bad i wont be back into town till friday night.... :mad: anyone wanna pick it up and drive it to me? haha jk
 
It's great to hear that, man you waste no time do you? I'm guessing you had it planned before the event, since you were talking to the guy(w/ a Ruff Racing shirt on) who wanted me to turbo my car and I said no way na for me :D . He was a cool guy though, is it the shop thats in Margate? If it is I'm like 5mins away, tell me when your down here.
 
i went by the shop today and was like wtf man u didnt waste anytime at all i didnt expect to see that car there that soon. well congrats

haha no didn't have this planed out. just so happened that moe had a built motor sitting at the shop. he hooked me up so I had to get it.maybe ill bring it out to DD friday if people end up going.
 
i use to work there with the owner moe. they never have anything you need, and they over charge you, no matter who you are. the motor they sell and do swaps with are parted to gether from other peices that are laying around the shop. they think they have race cars, but dont. they hire other people that work at other shops to come and do work on there customer cars and they take full credit for it. i seen this in person, and the best is they take cars that need exhaust to the muffler shop thats up the street from them get the exhaust done for $65 drive it back to there shop and charge the customer $250!!!WTF im not talking shit about them but just stating the true facts and statements, that they themselves prove over and over tobe true. i suggest noone waste your time and or money doing business with these scam artist. just looking out for my fellow drifters.

ahh... i didnt wanna be the one to start it off... but yeah THEIR WORK SUCKS!! They did my boyz Starion... EXHAUST was 3" CrushBEnt FENCE POST lOOkin shit!! NO TIP! The intercooler piping had BY FAR THE WORST WELDS IVE EVER SEEN! INstead of bends the cut pipes in angles at some spots... and they OVERCHARGED LIKE A MOFO!! but yeah :D personally I wouldnt do business with them...
 
no they probly didn't cut pipes and reweld them together, in there shop they have a garabage pale where they throw unused section of pipes in, they then reuse them to make other pipe section like intercooler pipes and exhaust-end result is piping with alot of crazy no purpose bends. VERY UNPROFSSIONAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
yes sir... I was not impressed with their work... I wouldnt have paid em a fuckin penny for that shit job they did

you would be surprised what goes on @ many shops if you were to work at them.

Moe works on my car for free, and in over a year i only had 1 complaint of what one of his 'guys' did that worked on my car... and if you want to list shady shops in sfl, we can go on forever...

me personally, the shops that have done something unprofessional/shady to my car or someone i know:

drag international
bmpc
autodreamz
ruff racing

and those are the ONLY shops that i have delt with, and all of them made the list, so what does that tell you.

lmao, yea, my car is a curse so far...

i would have to *honestly* say, that drag was the most 'professional' shop i went to. but i definately payed a 'professional' price, and some things were not done as i felt were agreed on but w/e. i would have no problem going back to Larry.

they never have anything you need? what does that mean? and as far as the over charging thing by far moe is very fair on the prices, at least he gives me good prices, and there are far more shops out there that will way over charge for being "professional" like dorian said. and what do you mean they dont have race cars? they have a full tube framed fd, the first gen ( which is kinda old and banged up ) , but its damm fast. i cant say anything about other people coming from other shops to help because im not there all the time. the whole exhaust thing complaint is retard because lots of shops do that! besides it is a bussiness that needs to make money . ok so he doesnt have alot of engines in stock , big woopty freaking doo. go by there and look at the widebody 350z they just did and tell me they do crappy work , or the widebody supras ....... bottom line , moe is a dam nice guy and has treated me and my friends good. im sure someone can talk shit about any shop in sfl because they didnt like what they got. point is, stop being a disgruntled ex-empolyee and talking shit when there are other shops out there do stuff which is truly "shady"
 
well, u havent made any good points, first that tube body fd wasn't built by ruff racing, they didn't even pay for it to be used as there car, it was part of a trade. that chassis has been at moes house garage for about 5 years and will sit there for another 5. the first gen suxs my balls. "I" did the whole microtech/haltech and aem standlone harness. the best that car ever ran was 11's now for a full RACE CAR thats pussy. there widebody supra well thats moe's brothers car, they sent the car to HQ auto body to get the widebody installed and painted, ruff didn't do it in house. and the widebody supra and moe's gs300 are stock 2jz's with big turbos and nitrous. I was at the dyno when the gs300 was running, it only makes 450ish hp witha 150SHOT of NITROUS, and thats a race car to you?(not to mention it melted all the pistons at the track the next day!!!!!) next i don't know what shops your thinking of but ive never heard of one taking customers cars that they themselves are supose todo the work on them and bring them to another shop to get the CORRECT work done and let ruff take all the credit and even charge more!!! Thats not how a business is ran! there 350z thats wide body belongs to the owner of la pizzaria and the only reason its beeing done at ruff is because chris told him its the only place that will do that work around here, and again its not ruff who's doing the work its someone eles from a diffrent pant shop moe paid to come and do the work so he can take all the credit for it. i never said ruff racing is the only crappy shop around i just said they are the SHITTIEST ONE!! your just sticking up for another rotary guy and dont want to feel like an idiot for spending all that money at a joke so called SHOP. and they most def. don't have anything in stock, maybe stock rx-7 parts (only turbo II) but ask for any other average part your suppose to have at a shop, betcha they don't(not used/NEW). There is no way in hell his prices are fair, HE doesn't own anything. If ya need a motor, he buys it from someone eles and then charges you more for it so he makes a profit!!! just because your his "SO Called Friend" and he treats u right doesn't mean he has a great shop or he's the best or even great at what he does. Even ask Chris, he's always around and is best friends with moe and gets more free shit from him they even u could imagine and hill side with me, he just doesn't say it because he just wants to keep getting his free shit.lol i could careless if i use to work there or not, but im just putting out there how fake and unproffesional they try to make themselfs be. Im not starting an argument just proving a very true point. and until you can prove me wrong with very true info(because anyone can go to there shop and see for themselves how shitty there work is and how unproffesional they are) keep your typing to yourself. and if ya saw the last drift event, the two cars that RUFF RACING brought with them Chris smurf blue 240 well its not ruff's car but i would if i was a shop say im sponosoring it, and jasons sil-eighty that ruff did the motor sawp and supposly wiring-well the car didn't even have bake rotors on it and the motor ran like shit the whole day, was running rich as hell!! ran on 3 cylinders all day!! But a real Shop like SPOOL UP RACING- We rep like none other, sorry noah but congrats on the new motor but dont stick up for another rotary guy when your arguing with someone that knows more than you about that shop.
