ok so i went about removing it. With laptop right next to me going along with a write up. I got the hardline going up to the master cylinder off easy. I go to take off the hardline going to the rubber line going to the slave cylinder and i notice its fucking stripped real bad i mean rounded. Thats what i get for when I used to bring the car to goodyear for shit. So now what can i do? cut it and easy out the rest of the fitting? Anyone???? I have work tomorrow but i have no clutch as of right now

damn bro i wish you had this issue a little earlier today i would have grabed you one.

but besides that sounds like your gona have to come up with some mc giver shit. good luck mr steef

is there anyway you can possibly re thread the fitting with a blade?

what does this box do? and pics of problem? if u post a pic of whats wrong maybe we can come up with a solution

the box hes talking about is to reduce the stiff pedal feeling, if you remove the box you get a more pressured pedal feeling, the box isnt necassary so people remove them.

roly if you have the box, take it while its still good. mine went bad and left me with no way to disengage the clutch.

need boost, try a line wrench, flare nut wrench, w/e the hell they are called. looks like a box ended wrenched with a piece of the hex missing. if that doesnt work you can try some vice grips but you have to lock them down with some good force. or if you wanna save yourself the trouble just buy a new hose.

its the clutch damper box under the car on the passenger side frame rail its a little box that nissan put in at the factory to make the clutch pedal feel lighter

heres the only picture i can find but i labeled the fitting and this picture the guy relocated it to the opposite side of the car

yea i know. you can remove the hose from the slave. so if you wanna make life really simple go out and buy a new hose, connect it to the slave, then connect to hard line from master and bam. easiest solution. other than that you have to leave it in its bracket and do what i said earlier. mine was pretty bad also but i got it off with the wrench i was talking about.

ive tried the vice grips as tight as i could possibly get it but the fitting is so rounded that even the vice grips round it

You are going to need to rethread it. I had the same foken issue, but I ended up muscling that shit in and hoping for the best. You can pick up a braided steel line and just replace the whole thing which would be best and will end up looking pretty nice.

i bet i could get it off. get a six pack of beer and ill get it off after work tomorrow. give me a call. 5619004252

sorry to thread jack cuz of no0bness..but can u really tell the diffrence when u take it out? also when u take out that fitting how do u connect the line back together? could this play a part in my clutch slipping?

From what I hear roly it gives a better clutch feel. And I'm not going to buy the whole line when I can just replace the rubber line and cut the other side off. And bend a line to match

35 buck compared to 5 bucks is a waste. U don't really need to buy anything. Boost do u need a cuban to get it off?
