s14 SR20DET RUNNING LIKE SHIT NEED HELP

Ok so i was at a track sunday drifting and the times i was going, sometimes the motor would sputter, but go away. did that twice. then later im about to go do a run, and the car runs like shit, wont hold idle, super rich. you can smell gas in the engine bay. it smokes alot just plain running like fucking shit. its pooring fuel in the motor for some reason.. i drove it home. when i would be slowing down, in gear off the gas, it would sound like it was running normal.
checked all couplers for leaks. nothing. no vaccum leaks. everythings good. i changed the cts. didnt do anything. runs like shit. holds idle for maybe 2 seconds(by idle i mean stays running on its own) and shuts off.
no leaking injector o-rings..
i can unplug the maf and it doesnt make a difference..
now the maf has a brown plug, and number has 6301. im guessing itsa s14 sr maf, tried to use my friends maf that he has a s14 sr20det but the maf is diff. the plug is different too. its a square and has the metal clip thing.
checked all wiring, all grounds, everythings good!!

somebody help me figure this shit out i am starting school soon and need to drive my car!!
i want to try somebodys s14 sr20det ecu see if that does anything.. please any imput would be lovely. thanks for reading and let me know


i know people saw my pos running good that day TEAL S14 WITH WHITE BUMPERS AND WHITE ROTA GRIDS my last 2 runs i was killilng it. then i chiled watched and was going to tandem and this fukcing bullshit happened.. thanks for reading again!!
 
un-plug each injector 1 by 1 and take note if you feel a difference. And How is it that you know your o-rings are good?
 
If you unpluged your Maf, the car should of reacted to that. Also whenever the maf is not plugged in, the car should go into safe mode (runs rich, and wouldnt drive past 2.5k rpm)
 
well if the o ring was bad it would be leaking fuel and none of them are. and ill try that thanks

Well it's not going to leak OUT of the fuel rail it will leak IN. There are more than just 1 o-ring.

easier way.. pull out the Rail with the injectors on it ( only like 4 or 5 bolts. easy to take it out. get a piece of cardboard put it on front of injectors and have someone turn ignition on or crank the motor to see how injectors are working, i hope this help ..if some of the injectors are open all the time u gonna know it as soon as the fp turns on.. gl

easier way.. Pull out the rail with the injectors on it ( only like 4 or 5 bolts. Easy to take it out. Get a piece of cardboard put it on front of injectors and have someone turn ignition on or crank the motor to see how injectors are working, i hope this help ..if some of the injectors are open all the time u gonna know it as soon as the fp turns on.. it revs past 2.5k with it plugged in and out.
and fuel rail is harder to take out than s13 sr. is that true
 
If you unplugged the maf and there was no change that could be your problem. S14 sr you have to take off the upper part of the intake mani to get to the fuel rail, only a few bolts.

well my friend said if i turn the car on when its dead cold with the maf unplugged, it should idle fine. then i can tell if its maf. im gonna try that 2moro
 
If you unplugged the maf and there was no change that could be your problem. S14 sr you have to take off the upper part of the intake mani to get to the fuel rail, only a few bolts.

don't forget about the gasket though. 15+ year old gaskets don't like to be re-used.

see what happens in the morning, if it does run bad, i guess try pinning another maf onto it. if not, have a friend hold your rpm at a certain rpm(700-800rpm is ideal) and pull a plug's wires off an injector of your choice.. see if car studers/chokes/rpm drops, if not, onto the other 3! if none of these give you any direction, i'd boost leak it. i'd guess a clogged hose/crimped hose.
 
ineed a fkin extra hand i cant try out the injectors.. well i just tried starting it dead cold with maf unplugged, runs the same, like shit. plug maf in, makes no difference. has a hard time starting cold. takes a while to turn on..

But you can rev pass 2.5k?
