So I caught the midnite release of Spiderman 3 at Sunset Place...

GOOD MOVIE!

They did Sandman and Venom well and the plot was well done.
 
spiderman 3 was lame..

the plot was wack. the EMO shit was lame, they went WAY off base from the comics like all marvel movies. the only thing that looked good was sandman. venom was to puny. mary jane was ugly and peter turned into a homo.

i am truley truley dissapointed with this POS spiderman 3 movie
 
I hope their not just making a trilogy and killing the series now that venom is in it and its getting good. They still have so many damn possibilities open for expansion...carnage, the lizard, etc...

Spiderman movies have always been far too emo for me. Not so much the first one, mostly 2. If 3 is worse, I am now officially scared to see it.

Least favorite emo scenes;
1. gay ass "don't mess with new york" scene where they throw rocks at the Green Goblin (and where the fuck did they get all those rocks from anyway, they were on a bridge)
2. great power/great responsibility theme/montage over and over in SM2
3. Aunt May hitting Doc Ock with her umbrella
4. entire subway scene in SM2 - omg, so much cheese in that scene alone
5. final scene in SM2 with MJ showing up in her wedding dress

Yeah, now that I think about it, SM2 was really emo.

Spiderman is ALSO a child's hero... if everything you described were not incorporated into the film we would be watching a Spawn movie or... Batman Begins instead; you have to remember in the movie industry it's not about what one person wants... movies must be universal to ALL types of viewers... but I'm sure you know that, hence the gayness of spiderman and just about every American movie made since the Matrix one. :bigthumbu
 
Um, I disagree but maybe that's b/c I became an avid comic book collector during the McFarlane days of SM. The original movie had that one scene of gayness but the only reason it was there was b/c they removed the Twin Tower scene due to the oversensitivity of the American people (more specifically, New Yorkers) at the time (shortly after 9/11), hence the fucking cheesetastic "don't mess with new york" line.
 
i remember that scene, it was actually in a trailer for spiderman... it was on the Knights Tale vhs. and spidey came into stopping a robbery and it ended with the van hanging between the towers.

i saw it cuz i worked at blockbuster and we get hte movies in a week early and employees can rent them then. they pulled the movie before its official release to remove the scene

There were scenes removed from the film and added after that...one being the "don't mess with new york" line.

they cant make one with carnage because carnage was such a violent villan,he'd rape and slaughter beyond belief,they cant put that in the movies.


i heard that the new movie doesnt follow the comicbook at all which is disappointing

If I remember correctly Spiderman and Venom were basically bound by hate against Carnage in the comics. It would take a lot to have them team up.
