Sr loosing power.

Ok so the car runs fine for about a little bit then it just looses power. The turbo is boosting perfect. Its not hot cause it happens after about 6 dohnuts. Feels like it has 20 hp. I had an issue with a ton of blow-by, so much you could see the oil smoke coming out of the hood from my blow off valve. I got a catch can but still getting abnormal amounts of blow-by.

Any suggestions?
 
you gotta take it apart no matter what. better find a friend who is a mechanic lol...

sometimes its cheaper to source out a longblock.

but you can buy all a rebuild kit and just have the engine rebuilt.
 
stop buying s13 sr's and beating the shit out of them without freshing them up. Most of them now are 10-15 years old with over 100k and people buy them and expect them to last. Buy s14 s15 motor nowadays there dropping in price and have way less miles wear most of the time. Or spend about 1500 to rebuild your currrent motor if you pull it out.
 
i was just having this issue.. it was driving me crazy.. i thought it was my turbo and i replaced it..

then my motor went boooooom so yeah compression test it

screw that rowing shit I got a trolling motor on my yak.

Its smoke, zzzzzz, fish on, smoke, zzzzzzz fish on, nap time, eat, smoke, zzzzzzzz fish on.


a lot cheaper then rebuilding cars every year.
