State of Stance was on location at Road Atlanta for the 2011 Petit Le Mans. The Race was filled many nail biting moments, bringing out a total 10 full course cautions. Early in the race Butch Leitzinger put the #43 Dyson Racing Lola B09/86 Mazda into the wall, effectively forcing them out of the race. The day continued with multiple accidents forcing two other cars (#64 Jet Alliance Lotus Evora & #1 Audi Sport R18) out of the race, and mechanical problems shortening the day of eight other cars. The race came down to the wire in the GT Class, Giancarlo Fisichella took the race win, but it was the battle between the #045 Flying Lizard Porsche GT3 and the #55 BMW Motorsport M3 GT3 that put the crowd through the emotional ringer. With 2 laps to go, the Porsche Passed the BMW to secure the points and get the Class Win for the season. The Peugeots took first (#8 Peugeot Total Sport) and second (#10 Oreca Peugeot) in LMP1 and the #33 Microsoft HPD ARX-01G took the LMP2 win. The Race weekend was an eventful and great conclusion to an amazing season. Next season promises to be a continuation of this one, and SoS will be there to cover it.
