I see brake lights, but is that considered a brake check?

to get a true opinion, we need to see more than one run. to see if he consistently hits the breaks at that part of the track.

^^ Doesn't need to consistently hit brakes there, every run is a different situation in which you may need to brake to correct the car mid slide. I don't see anything but Tuerck making the wrong steering judgement and going wide.

you know if he did....it wouldnt be the first time in drifting someone gets brake checked... better judgement next time.

x2 to ralph... and there was brake lights for sure... but hey he is tanner foust he can do whatever whenever against whatever rule... so get over it!

Anyone who's ever seen Tanner drive more than :30 knows his left foot rests against that brake pedal at all times. In the Z his brakelights were always on immediately after initiation no matter what.

Just because the brakelights are on doesn't mean the brakes are actually doing anything, especially if Tanner is driving.

this..

didnt boxmod get brake checked at formula d atlanta?

The way those dudes were all struggling, I doubt it was intentional. Only a few of them could barely make it around the track, let alone try and get sneaky.

I remember Rhys Millen said he was suprised when Tanner Foust brake checked him at the Red Bull Drifting World Championship, after being roommates and all. Guess it's just part of the sport, even though it's obviously frowned upon.

hahah dude that was totally legit damn good driving on tanners part...i saw him brake to increase angle and maintain control into large angle leaving that turn...i wouldve done the same its a common technique it slows down the reaction time needed to make a smooth transition into large angle....oh well shit was legit good driving dunno how anyone could mistake that for brake checking
