taping in the motor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have a lil taping sound coming from the top of my ka. at frist i thoght it was a header leak. but thats not the problm. the motor has 230XXX + miles on it wit a top end rebuilt. the taping sounds like its coming from the fuel injectors i think they r bad am i rite let know thanks. :bigthumbu

and i dont need oil jus did that sunday

usually lifter noise or timing chain covers on kas

timing chain cover was replacet. the taping is coming from the injectors

Injectors will make a tapping noise under normal load. Listen to any SR motor. Itis much more pronounced. It may also seem like its injectors but it could be a valvetrain issue. They are right next to each other. Is it a steady rythmic tap, or a random tapping noise?

idk the motor runs fine. im guna change the injectors n see wat happens.

my motor runs fine to and the crank bearings are shot. you can hear them knocking and as you rev it it gets louder. but do what you want. i would think that your motor wouldnt run fine if the injectors were F'ed up. but thats just me
