Throttle cable

Alright so i got one of those new ISIS intake manifolds from enjuku. Everything works fine, Only problem is that the spot that they have for you to mount your throttle cable bracket is farther back than the OEM intake mani, so long story short, the cable cannot reach the throttle body. It needs like a 1/2 inch for it to fit and work correctly. I thought about drilling new holes and mounting the bracket closer but its at a funky angle that wouldnt work. Any ideas on how to adjust the throttle cable to make it an inch longer?

Which throttle cable do you have in your car? A SOHC or a DOHC? I think the DOHC throttle cable is longer than the SOHC cable, someone correct me if I'm wrong. I just ask because your car is a pignose...

I don't know about swapping the throttle cable when doing an sr swap. Either from a SOHC or a DOHC. I know when I swapped my car from SOHC to DOHC I had to have the cable.

If it's too short you probably have a SOHC cable, a few other people have the manifold and didn't have the cable issue.

Do you think theres any way to pull the cable out more maybe? or would i have to go to a junk yard or something and pick up a DOHC cable.

Unless your cable is routed around something that's taking up length, I think you will have to get a DOHC cable.

Alright, ill try and figure it out and if i cant fix it i guess ill pick up the DOHC cable.

fixed the problem, well kind of, took the bracket off of the throttle line and then bolted it to the manifold, then i ziptied the throttle cable to the bracket so its in the same position that its suposed to be in but at the right length that it needs to be in to work. everything was fine when i took it for a drive the car drove fine as if i was daily driving it. but when i tried getting on it, it felt like the motor was reving fine but the car wasnt going as hard as it should, then as i slowed down for a stop sign and i heard a wining coming from the rear of the car and then there was a funny smell when i pulled over. Differential maybe? i was driving on a broken welded diff, but i didnt have any problems with it yet.

I may try that if i cant find it by the end of the night, the boost leak wasnt there until i did the manifold, so it has to be somewhere on the coldside?

Did you use gasket maker on the intake manifold? Did you make sure you have no loose hoses in the back of the intake manifold?

found the leak but not sure how to fix it, its coming from the fuel injectors, its almost like things arent aligning right, one injector always seem to kind of pop up a little and another one will look like its squishing the injector bushing. any clue what this might be?
