Ticket prices going up

So before i left work they sent an email stating all ticket prices will go up effective tomorrow. So any ticket you receive tomorrow or any day after will have the new price. For instance, all non-moving violations that aren't dismissable or a fix-it ticket are now $90.00. Most moving violations have gone up $20 or close to it, if not more than that. This is only for Broward County citations, i believe Dade has already raised their rates. Anyway this is just some FYI.

yea u can control the driving stuff....but i have gottin tickets for my lights and all kinda garbage......dot is no joke

You know attitude is what gets you tickets right? Cops smell BS for a living, and most the people bitching about tickets are the "f*ck the police" kind.

It's funny, my car is two different colors, fully stickered, a loud exhaust, and I never got fix-it tickets?

First you get pulled over for how much attention you call to yourself. Any KA with an exhaust is obnoxious. That sh*t really should be downright illegal.

Then you get pulled over and you give cops attitude. Even if you don't have the balls to tell them to go f*ck themselves in their face, it still shows. Like I said, those guys deal with that sh*t every day.

On the other side, this whole "I hate Florida for this and that" is also somewhat poor arguing. The economy is down, everyone needs money. Do you rather the government raise the taxes for everyone altogether or just the ones that are doing wrong? Think about that.

Just do your thing. I take my chances, I know I do. If I get a ticket and I know I'm wrong, then I hand it to my lawyer and see the magic he can work out. Worst case scenario I deal with court costs. It sucks, makes me broke, I move on, and life goes on.

yeah i think this thing only really matters to people who just don't learn after a couple tickets. I mean Is this really gonna affect your budget that much?

Thats weak, it's all about money. I got a ticket in nassau county for speeding, I was driving a rental van and got a letter from the company stating that all their trucks are governed so it had to be a mistake. Well that wasn't good enough so they asked for my driving record, I got it and the only thing on it was that ticket. I don't know why they even asked for it becasue that wasn't good enough ether and they still wanted me to drive 5 hours north to go to court. I ended up having to pay a $180 fine for them to drop it. I just got a ticket a few days ago thats pretty funny, look at the violation part and the reason the cop wrote. The guy was pretty cool he told me it looked good but I have to find a better place to do it than Atlantic ave. I definitely deserved this one.

if you just got off with a careless driving ticket you were truly lucky. something that blatently obvious would be classified as wreckless driving. which means mandatory court and heafy fines most of the time. be fortunate palm beach courts are much softer than browards.and erick is right, it is all about attitude. dont be a dick, you know that your car looks like a lowrider ufo, so dont bitch when he hits you with tickets for it. hell i know my kia is loud, it's beyond offensive but as long as i dont run in the "high revs" in residentail and police infested areas im good.
