transmiossion leaking

ok so ive been told that my real main tranny seal is bad bc theres just dryed up oil everythere from the tranny back..i changed the seal and it still seems to be leaking from somwhere in the same area bc theres fresh oil on the sidewalls of the drive shaft, right where it comes out of the tranny, like it did before...what could be the problem now?
 
clean everything real good under there? see if you can figure out if its coming from the trans or squirting back from elsewhere?
 
im starting to think its the shifter actually bc theres oil just laying around it kinda, wat does the seal look like?

YOUR SHIFTER HAS (6) 10MM BOLTS. It's a square card board looking gasket. Most of the time its not even their. Just use gasket maker. I used that on all my swaps and never leaked. I would only leak through the D-Shaft due to having an SR and having to remove the dust cover. But if its just a ka than its mostlikely leaking through the shifter. Have you ever fucked with the shifter?

its a ka, no ive never had intercourse with my shifter
 
ok so a little update, my real main seal has been replaced but my old one was good but watever, look wat i found that never really crossed my mind til now:
check all the fresh oil chillin there

it seems to be leaking out of there, bc the boot is oiled up aswell
