Trying to get a feeler.

Not sure where to exactly place this on the forums, if it gets moved thats fine. I work at XAT racing. We are now offering a new type of product for anyone with an intercooler. An intercooler Protector brass. Not exactly sure what we are going to call it. Like the title says, just trying to get a feeler for the item before we mass produce a ton of them. It will bolt in the factory bumper location, but is designed to go around the front of the intercooler, but still remain behind the bumper cover. Main purpose? To save your intercooler, new drifters, old drifters daily drivers, dont chance it with your intercooler, walls, cones, truckes, trees, cars, can all damage it bad. This brace will help prevent that from happening by taking the brunt of the hit. Even if its just preventing a cone from knocking that pesky mounting tab(s) off the intercooler. I will get pics up of the item as soon as it gets back from powder coating. Item actually looks really nice. Base price for a poweder coated brace will be $129. We are developing one that has a tow hook built in. I am not a sales man, nor am I trying to be one. Just trying to judge interest in such an item.
Any further questions or comments or suggestions, please pm me.

I dont know about the rest of you but my intercooler wouldn't even be phased by a cone at 45mph. Its mounted solid, not going any where. If I hit a wall my inter cooler is not the most important thing on my mind. Ill always have my bumper on, and i usually treat cones as if they were curbs. I dont hit them.

An inter cooler should not be mounted with "tabs" they should be bracketed securely.

Id rather get another intercooler then have to straiten a frame rail. I dunno how popular this is going to be.

I just know from experiance that those little tabs, dont always do the try, box mod took a cone, and intercooler got smushed pretty bad.
