Drift Alliance Ace: Brian Wilkerson

Brian Wilkerson is the driver gracing our current cover of Wrecked Magazine and his victory at the Formula D Pro Am East Finals was no fluke we can assure you. After watching Brian drifting it up for years he is now getting ready to enter Formula D here in 2009. Just watch him unleash his 240sx on the track and make sure you hear him finally go WOT at :57 to 1:00 mark.

i like how it pointed out that he was only on throttle really hard for :57 to 1:00.
wilkerson is cool dude tho, just wish he would use that car more.

Letting go while transitioning, letting the wheel float, and catching it, is simple and easy. I don't think it looks sloppy, but either way, Brian W. throws down.

.... and over hand over hand OH SHIT too much back correction correction let go of wheel completley Oh gotta grab it now over correct over hand over hand..... Yea its easier because its not smooth.

Maybe i need to watch it again and pay more attention, ha.

Just watched again, haha he did it for the first corner then it all looked straight to me.

Your left hand should never cross 1 - 2 oclock on the steering wheel and your right hand should not pass 11 -10 oclock in the other direction.

he was at like 3 or 4 oclock with his right hand at some points.

i dont see why it matters?
its his style of driving and it seems to be working out pretty good for him

The reasoning is in case you get into trouble. If your left hand is on the opposite side of the steering wheel and you need to down shift, your only choice is to let go of the wheel and reposition your right hand and then grab the shifter. To much going on at once when you are in trouble.

Everyone has different driving styles, and it really just comes down to what works best for you. But there are some practices that you learn at driving schools and what not that will get you out of some hairy shit.

raise your hand if you've posted in this thread or were posted about in this thread and you have a formula D license......yup, pretty sure Brian does. shabam.

As its been said already, everyone has their own driving style, but at the end of the day he's the one making money doing what we love to spend money on.

Who said he's making money????

There are maybe 10 people in FD who actually make money participating. The rest are all spending money chasing the dream.
