The title gets your attention but I have no clue as to what I want to name it. Anyway I have just put my first year of college under my belt and I am getting a 240 here in a week or so and as a project in my business class we wrote business plans. In highschool I took my plan all the way to a national competition in ATL and out of 15,780 kids I placed 2nd. My ultimate dream is to bring something like Ebisu to America. The idea consists of 6 courses ranging in difficulties, a tire sales center, and everything else a racetrack includes in usual operation. I have had this plan since Senior Year and I think it is time to start applying for loans and looking for land. Some people have already given me their two cents and my grandfather is ready to invest as soon as we find land. What do you guys think?

i think this will never happen lol, there are so many rules and regulations for what you would like to do, and thats before the epa even gets involved lol.

I say go for it, just dont expect to to make much of a profit for 10 years atleast

Ok my response came off a little more sarcastic then i intended.
i want to just break down some dollar figures for you.

a plot of land big enough will set you back around

5-7 million at least

constructing the actual course ill say give or take 2-5 million dollars

Not to mention insurance cost, bathroom facilities required, parking lot.

Id say you could probably build a decent track for around 12-15 million dollars. Then you have the problem of retards moving next to the track and complaining the cars are too loud.

Two general internet rules apply to this post

1. What ever you think it costs multiply by three

2. If you have to ask on a forum you either cant afford it /cant do it / having pipe dreams or all of the above

Yea its difficult in America for a number of reasons. Insurance being number 1. But hey, it all starts with a dream.

Do it. Just not in Florida. Go somewhere where the land is cheaper than mail order brides. Like Kansas or Missouri.

When you start profiting then maybe make another one. Work your way to FL.

you have to do it somewhere where the racing/drifting scene is big enough. you cant do it in the middle of a crappy state where all they watch is figure 8 school bus races... If you're asking on SFLD of course im gonna say build it here. Just do it a bit more up north.. my .02

Ok send me a copy of your business plan. FranciscoMassonm5@gmail.com I want to see what you came up with, number wise and all other aspects of starting a business. I wrote one recently for a business class I’m taking now and it’s actually a business I might launch hopefully within the next 3 years.

what we dont have down here is support for the sport. bt remeber it mite not only be used for drifting. drag. road. time attack.. etc..

yeah KY with its sick elevation changes could be pretty cool, i'd drive up there to events if was a sweet track like ebisu

if he has a business plan that can top 16k kids, im pretty sure he knows what the heck hes doing and the costs involved. i cant give you financial support but if you start early and the sport explodes in america as much as we all hope, you could catch the wave and make bank at least thats what i think. hopefully you'll think it through clearly before you blow a wad of cash, because i'd really like to see it come true.

Now you're thinking like a businessman. Don't forget about conditional land rental fees with incremental price increases. I can manage all that for you too. ;)
