"Yeah, I drift too" stories

haha i was with igor one night and a guy came up to his s14 and was like 'can you drift' and igor said no and the guy was like 'its easy man, ill teach you' and proceded to try to explain it completely wrong.

all the time people tell me they drift, and then proceed to name their FWD car... the end

i would have to agree with this 100% i have had people tell me they drifted there lancer ... i was like ?!? uhhh ok cool

everytime i go to countyline i hear ppl saying they drift but i never see them drifting i just see them all understeering and spinning out so i dont know who to believe anymore, the rwd cars or the fwd cars

I get tons of guys that come to my shop n they act like they drift n stuff, most of them drive 350z but some times I get the 240 guys come in and be like "oh I drift" specially since I dont drive the sil much they all come wen I'm in the truck or the camry. lol
I have bout 5 stories that r just wow.
too long to write.

I do remember 1 from back in the day... this is from wen SFLD had just started, we all knew a guy who used to tell us some amazing stories bout how he used to rally a car wen he was younger, going through gears at awesome speeds and that he was a good drifter... but in the 1st Hialeah event I went to I saw this guy just throwing him 4 door box to a corner and that was it... he couldnt finish it or link a corner... later he got better but the best part was that wen he made his car 5 speed he diodnt know how to drive stick... so wat happened to those awesome stories bout him doing rally and going through gears like a pro? we all though it was very funny... oh well, i meet tons of people that feel they have to lie to make friends or look cool. maybe at the next meet I'll tell a better story from my shop.

I'm just getting started with serious drifting, but about 7 years ago I worked in a shop and had just heard of drifting and it just happened to be I was telling my coworker about while we where test driving a customers miata. Well the shop is around where JDM of miami and Moe's PRS is located and if you been in that area, then you know that sweeping turn towards the back of that block. I was coming up on it and decided to give this drifting thing a try. I was pretty scared being my first time, so I just got to maybe 30 miles per hour and took the turn and just clutch kicked. The rear breaks lose and chirps just a bit and I'm feeling like motherfucking DK. My coworker decides that he wants to try this too so we switch places. I remember looking at the speedometer and seeing 40mph and thinking oh shit. Dude takes the left turn, powers over and we get sideways, except we are still going forward and the curb is getting closer and closer. I thought we where going to die when we hit. Way I figured, this fucking thing was going to flip and it was going to be my coffin, but when I opened my eyes, the car was perfectly level and we where fine. Except my half of the car was on the curb so I should have been higher. When we get down, it was the miata from back to the future on the passengers side and a regular miata on the drivers side. We actually got the suspension from the junk yard, sprayed it and gave the car to the owner without letting him know.

TL;DR: First adventure into drifting with customers car, my shop coworker gave a Miata a back to the future makeover and we used african american engineering skills to conceal the damage and give the car back to the owner.

i hate all the kids that go out to car meets and have all these i <3 drifting stickers and d1 stickers on there car. when all they do is dirt drift or do doughnuts in the middle of wet publix parking lots. its pretty funny and then you call them out about drifting and they stfu forever cause they REALLY dont no shit. its soo good. or when kids have nasty ass 240s but dont even know how to put gas in the fucking cars. its rediculous. i just want all there cars to blow and they look at us actual drifters that have slid before with the biggest wtf do i do face and we can charge them out the ass to help them fix there cars hahahahahahahah one day
