I'm just getting started with serious drifting, but about 7 years ago I worked in a shop and had just heard of drifting and it just happened to be I was telling my coworker about while we where test driving a customers miata. Well the shop is around where JDM of miami and Moe's PRS is located and if you been in that area, then you know that sweeping turn towards the back of that block. I was coming up on it and decided to give this drifting thing a try. I was pretty scared being my first time, so I just got to maybe 30 miles per hour and took the turn and just clutch kicked. The rear breaks lose and chirps just a bit and I'm feeling like motherfucking DK. My coworker decides that he wants to try this too so we switch places. I remember looking at the speedometer and seeing 40mph and thinking oh shit. Dude takes the left turn, powers over and we get sideways, except we are still going forward and the curb is getting closer and closer. I thought we where going to die when we hit. Way I figured, this fucking thing was going to flip and it was going to be my coffin, but when I opened my eyes, the car was perfectly level and we where fine. Except my half of the car was on the curb so I should have been higher. When we get down, it was the miata from back to the future on the passengers side and a regular miata on the drivers side. We actually got the suspension from the junk yard, sprayed it and gave the car to the owner without letting him know.
TL;DR: First adventure into drifting with customers car, my shop coworker gave a Miata a back to the future makeover and we used african american engineering skills to conceal the damage and give the car back to the owner.
