^ not the worst fara demo yet one time only three drivers showed and that was the worst for sure.
that's the only one that I didn't go to, that's why I said the worst that I have attended

Here is my feedback about the FARA Drift Demo.
There were an oddly large number of drivers this time around; I got to the track between 1130-12ish so I'm not quite sure what went on before I was there. I do know that there was no tech going on, which I thought was pretty strange for a FARA demo.
The whole hotlapping idea was kind of harsh on most cars, I know Juan's motor didn't like it for sure!
I felt the driving could've been a lot better, I've seen all of you drive 10x better before.
I feel that as a driver, it's your responsibility to make sure your car has GOOD tires, all WHEEL STUDS, etc. Everything on your car should have been up to spec to run a DEMO.
The whole matching up of drivers was lopsided at best. If you don't know what synergy is, look it up and learn about it, people want to be entertained at demos.
I can't comment on the announcing as I was on the other side of the track and didn't hear any of it.
All together I would say that this was the worst FARA demo I have attended. Despite the large amount of drivers that showed up, the driving was under PAR from everyone. Blame the cars or the track or w/e you want, you were the only one driving your car, it's your car, it's ultimately your own fault. Hotlapping was gay, I think drivers and spectators would rather have the old run system back. Abe's wheel falling off was the most entertaining part of the day from the stands.
No offense to anyone, but if you do take offense, go somewhere and pray.
On the other hand, thanks Moe for hosting another event, thanks to all the drivers that showed up to support the scene and promote drifting and thanks to everyone who supplied me with drinks!!
Sorry that I can't afford new tires to entertain you. Kinda tryin to save that money and put it torward the events that are gonna get me an fd lisence.
Sorry again that I made your day so bad by not having good tires.
People keep saying shit about the lugs/studs like if they were torqued down wrong or some shit that wasn't the case because the lug was fully stripped from the back to front. Studs were fine also, so explain to me how you check perfect studs and or lugs? The only way I see a fuck up was buying autozone tuner lugs which they've held up forever and happen to go now, what a strike of luck. This goes to Moe and any other wanting to mention the 3 wheel motion drift.
come on bro.
We went down, then were supposed to turn right around and self start ourselfs back up. That kinda hot lapping. If it was hotlapping the whole track, my t-stat never woulda opened.
and if it aint a 347 chevrolet.....burn it to the ground
if you cant afford new tires goodluck with an fd license lololololol
all is forgiven, all the v8s made up for the bad driving though for sure.
homestead speedway appreciates the tribute
RIP DALE!
Yesterday well well where do i begin.
1. My driving. I sucked pretty hard yesterday, i drove worse than ive had in a long time. Be it lack of sleep or whatever, its on me.
2. The event layout. I knew that hot lapping thing was retarded, i as well as several other drivers told moe in advance (ie the days before the event, that it was retarded but w/e) it seems to me since , and this is directed at you moe. Since you dont drift and have pretty much no idea what it takes, maybe you should listen to your drivers feedback instead of pretty much wiping your ass with what people tell you and doing what you want. If you really want to help the drift scene as much as you say you did, it would seem this is the logical choice.
3. The drivers meeting.
This is by far the biggest waste of my time of the whole day. Every drivers meeting i have ever been to was about the course, the layout safety , how to drive the line, etc. Something technical.
Your drivers meeting it seemed was a RA RA RA fest on how much you where doing for the drift scene in south florida. Basically it was 80 percent about you maybe 20 percent about the drivers or the drifting that was to take place. Like an infomercial or something im not sure.
I know very few people will back up the things i said, but i promise you this is how a lot of us feel.
Its nothing personal moe, i do apreciate the opportunity you give us to drive homestead, and i know you are trying to help out and stuff.
I mean this is a feedback thread after all so this is the feedback.
ps i mostly would like to apologize to the guys who drove from west palm and further to what amounted to 6-7 total runs for most of you guys.
edit i thought of a few more things
4. The after drivers meeting. The thing that stood out the most was a few unprofessional things you did and said.
a. The sentance that really boiled my blood, was "what part of go around the cone did you guys not understand" That goes back to the hotlapping thing posted above. I really had to bight my tongue.
b. Whatever the fuck happened to abrahams car which is purelly irellavant. His damaged car was on the back of a homestead speedway tow truck and you felt the need to call him away from tending to that to sit in to your meeting. Clearly again YOUR MEETING was more imporatant than getting his car off the homestead flatbed. Not to mention the unprofessional mockingly calling him "the superstar" as you inquired about his location.
I used to think abe was a pretty irrational and crazy guy and was shocked he didnt tell you to fuck off because i know for sure i would have.
lastly i think from here on out the only people in drivers meetings should be drivers. tech, safety people, and pit crew. No one else.
wtf^^
oh ok, yeah thought it was the whole track. I definitely had issues with that turn around and go right back stuff when I was there too.
He said he couldn't afford new tires to entertain you. Entertaining you and driving an FD event are slightly different.
Thank your sir, I'm not foking around when I say the soles of my shoes melted running around the track. I agree completely on the fact that the drivers should have more liberty to choose who they drive with since it's a Demo and not a competition. This would definitely make for a more entertaining showcase. I proposed to Moe that having Tech Sheets signed off by both the Driver and the Tech is going to cover our asses if any accidents happen again which is something that's always part of motorsports. Props to Abe for keeping the line and actually gaining speed after losing the wheel, and I hope there wasn't too much damage. I had a blast and as always, it is a pleasure and a whole lot of inspiration to see you guys do your thing.
Weird cuz I thought demos were to entertain people...
