Event costs in tha midwest have gone up yet again...

$130 to drive
$155 to compete
$15 to spectate
and +$35 if you want to register the week of.
that late fee is more than what I paid last week to drive.
FL has it made with events happening every week or every other week...and driving costs at a bare minimum.
Don't complain, appreciate what we have.

OH...and the avg event is 3-7 hours away.
So yea, be thankful lol.
That $130 + event is 3.5 hours away from home. meaning u drive ur shit for hours. get a hotel room. then do the event and hope u make it home ok.

i agree fully i had to drive from fuckin rhode island to jersey for events. Thats a long shitty drive in a drift car sitting in traffic in new york.
 
Man, I try to fucking tell kids that shit all the time. They all start bitchin for havin to pay 40 to drive. Its ubsurd. OSW raised its price from 60 to 75, and kids lost their minds. A full practice day of 8 hours of driving for 75. Kids down here dont know how good they really have it.

95% of this forum is d bags from miami that low ball the shit out of you anyways so what makes you think they will actually spend money to drive. I remember back in 06 when the event would be full in like 15 mins of reg opening with no complaints about cost from anyone. now all these newbs are on here bitching about how they need a helmet or fire suit or a roll cage to drive. its upserd.

no offense but that price isnt bad lol that was the normal price for dday at ogp before they stopped having them and it was a 6-7hr drive and no one complained so idk what complaining you are talking about

and 150$ for a competition at a road course w/ actual prizes is not bad at all either

I promise you, from the people that I have met so far, if you give them laguna seca to slide at $150, they will still find something to complain about as far as price. Because when people complain about the price they don't say, oh Its not worth it to drive a parking lot event, I hear, well we're broke college students bla bla bla. I can't even afford used tires bla bla bla.
If thats the case, people need to get their priorities straight, and get tha fuck out of motorsports until they can afford it...
 
well obviously if they cant afford tires they cant afford an event and would still complain if it was free most likely. (which they did when someone offered free track time for a 1.5hr drive)

there are only like 12 drivers in florida that take this motorsport somewhat seriously anyway

everyone else is just doing it for the wow factor

I agree and 130$ is a great price to be able to drive a real course with many transitions and challenges. I would pay that anyday over going to the same old countyline skidpad where to me its kinda played out. I'm not saying its a bad place, its a great place to learn

This really bothers me.

There is no downtime in FL's season. You don't ONLY have 3 or 4 months to drive in. You guys can do this shit all year round. errr...WE can do this shit all year round. And all I hear is people complaining, or people talking shit. Its fucking sad, I swear.

Don't get me wrong, I shit talk...but I shit talk for fun...this shits just outa control. everyone asides from those 12 drivers fucking sucks.

I wanna go to this miami gp event, hopefully the "expensive" admission will weed out the shitty minded people?
 
If you can't get used tires for an event then you should def find another hobby/sport honestly i used to dumpster dive for tires all the time and would do whatever I needed to do to get everything ready to go money wise and everything else. There really is no excuse especially when jackson sells used tires for FUCKING TEN BUCKS

and some for even 5 bucks
