PBIR Drift event Sept 24th

Put some stock ones in for this event, and just go a little easier on the shifts and clutch kicks. Then get some cool axles coming. Then maybe eventually take that clutch out, and put a single disc clutch in or something. You're only making like 300something wtq, no need for something that holds over 1000.
I did know there was a twin plate in there.
I bet your tranny is gettin bummed too.

really i dont want to go that far with the hopes that they dont break again, it probably would be ok since PBIR is ebrake entry and then ride out, but we will see what I can get done by thursday night. the clutch isnt a bad choice and at the time Exedy sent me the twin, I was supposed to be getting a supercharger too. We expected it to be close to what enjukus power is. That being said, its not a bad thing to just get nicer axles and then have no worries.

cmon ya'll, i broke a motor and was able to paint car, mount kit, and swap it (with some help) in under 3 days, axles should be possible to do by Friday, shipping time is my enemy.

The price on those things would be my enemy. Aren't bad ass axles like a grand? I'm sure a hyper single would hold the power with a supercharger. Hopefully with good axles you don't start breaking other sruff.

My spec stage 3 says its good till like 832 ft/lbs of torque. hahaha.

so yeah.
the stage 2 dss axles are right at a g.

depends on what rating you want on axles... anywhere from 500-1000+. the clutch is defenitly more than i need at this point, but ill just have to build the motor to the point its using it then hahaha.

stage one dss axles are pointless. They're just bigger shafts. The stage 2's actually have upgraded CV's.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I mean it's not like you're going to build a motor, twin turbo it, and make 1200whp anytime soon.

yea youre right, i should totally complain to my sponsor that they sent me too awesome of a clutch. ill try that.

It doesn't seem too awesome so far bro. Just sayin.

After you get sweet axles, if you continue to break stuff, then maybe talk to them, tell them whats going on. That wouldn't be complaining. I'm sure they would rather you drive, then break stuff everytime you go to the track. Hopefully you don't have to do that though.

i agree its actually good to give your sponsers feedback on the stuff that give you so they know what to tweek and make better what what not!

yea but the argument here is that the clutch is overkill for the motors power, not like the product needs attention.
 
q45 rear ends can take stock 4.08 s13/s14 ring and pinions woot!!

come to think of it jason i dont know how your snapping axles, i run bgger sticker tires and make more tq and have yet to break one, im actually on the original chassis ones with 180k miles on them. Are you sure something else isnt wrong?

i dont see what could have changed from one event to the next really...
 
ive seen plent of broken or cracked subframes, it would be difficult to correlate one with the other but id look into all possibilities.
 
q45 gearing is all funny.
I was gonna do that too, but it would make my power band suck.

you can use a z32 rear end, its got the same gearing as a 240, 4.08 and its 5 bolt so you can use the q45 axles, or even a 5 bolt j30 which is 3.90 I think
 
My twin disc snapped mad sr trannies, axles, diffs, and 1 subframe. Now with a single again a couple trans and axles. But i keep a pair of axles in the truck. There too cheap and too easy to replace. Loosey and stew say the dss axles blow as well. So they buy discount auto lifetime warr and keep spares and just rotate them out, I buy j30 rears from the jyard as spairs.

And I have no power or trq
