Just swap the ecu and the tps for a 5pd. Thats what I have always done for the 3 hatchs and a s14 that I swapped.

Well it depends on how good he "wired" it up. Was the car ever auto? IDK why he would be lazy and rewire it? I have had this happen before. The little plastic plug piece on the pedal lever pops out and wont start, but if its bypassed shouldnt matter. Are your terminals on the battery...
