Sorry, by the way you worded your post I thought you were asking about switching to synthetic. But if I were you, don't risk adding any additives. Just do a fresh oil change before the event or whatever your going to do and you will be fine.

If it already has been running regular oil for a long time I highly recommend NOT putting in synthetic. Synthetic oil has a lot of detergents that will eat up the crud made by the minerals in conventional oil, it helps seals.But you risk causing new oil leaks, creating sludge and clogging up...

I've heard from friends that its a lot more responsive and a little bit harder to control the cars when transitioning fast and stuff. I have always used the controller and haven't had the luxury of personally trying a G25 or G27.
